SeaRoc can support your project by providing a single point of contact with all supporting services
SeaRoc was formed in 2002 to bring marine and offshore construction expertise from other industries to the emerging Offshore Wind sector. During this time, we have had a technical input to over 90% of UK offshore wind farms constructed to date, primarily through the provision of Quality, Health and Safety and Project Management services. Our involvement in these projects has repeatedly taught us where delays and inefficiencies can arise through, for example, interface management issues and inefficient use of contracted support services. As projects grow in scale and move further offshore, the compound effects of these issues will dramatically increase both financial and programme risks.
Acquisition by Fred.Olsen Ltd. in 2010 gave SeaRoc the capacity to grow our industry offering from pure consultancy to the provision of contracted services. We have proven our capacity to act as Principal Contractor and to manage large scale construction sites for one-off and array scale offshore construction projects such as the NaREC offshore metmast and EDF’s Teesside Offshore Wind Farm. We believe that SeaRoc’s ability as a small, nimble company, yet with the backing of our parent company, combined with our broad range of experiences brings a fairly unique offering to the industry.
Based on our experiences, we have developed a construction management model which interfaces with the Client organisation and all major project contracts to allow support contracts and interface risks to be managed under a single contract. SeaRoc can support your project through the provision of full Principal Contractor support and site management services to provide a single point of contact with all supporting services and interfaces considered such as provision and management of onshore Site Facilities and Compound, Personnel Transfer Vessels, Marine Coordination, Permit Control, Temporary Buoyage and Navigation, Temporary Power Generation (on and offshore) and so on. Whilst these contracts make up a relatively small proportion of the overall project CAPEX, interface failures between them and the major contractors have been shown to have a serious economic impact on the project and are a contributing factor to the increasing cost of offshore wind.
Based around a core supply of our Marine Coordination software, hardware, personnel and small vessel charter, we can tailor our services to meet the requirements of your project. This allows us to enable, ease and de-risk any Offshore Construction project and our accreditation's under ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 ensure that the high quality for which we are known is transmitted throughout all phases of a project.
