Marine Coordination Services

Our personnel have extensive experience of offshore projects and are familiar with all procedures and emergency responses

SeaRoc has supplied Marine Coordinators to the offshore wind industry since 2002. Contracts are typically based on 12 or 24 hour operations, however any client generated requirement can be agreed and accommodated. SeaRoc employ experienced senior Deck Officers holding STCW Class 1 (Master) or Class 2 (Chief Officer) certificates of competency and are trained to deliver an unsurpassed service to the stakeholders, ensuring that Health & Safety, client and statutory requirements are upheld.

All personnel have extensive experience as Marine Coordinators on offshore projects and are familiar with all procedures and emergency responses. Our Marine Coordinators are supported by a management team of Senior Mariners whose background and experience includes offshore windfarm installation, Vessel Masters, Chief Officers and Construction Management Personnel. Our business support team have many years of experience in assisting offshore personnel with the logistical requirements associated with these projects and enabling them to conduct their duties in a professional, consistent and cost effective manner.

SeaPlanner, our in-house marine management system, may be commissioned to compliment our Marine Coordination services. SeaPlanner is now a leading provider of real-time marine management systems across Europe and the UK and has helped with the safe and efficient construction of two thirds of the UK’s offshore installed wind capacity, and the use of this system will bring additional benefits and capabilities to your project.

The job description of a SeaRoc Marine Coordinator includes but is not limited to:

  • Liaise with client marine contractors to enable a plan of operations to be formulated and promulgated
  • Completion of passenger manifests of all personnel movements and transfers
  • Attendance at project daily meetings
  • Organisation of stores and tool runs
  • Follow up of marine audit findings on Crew Transfer Vessels (CTV) and other vessels and tracking of closeouts
  • Present for impact testing of crew boats (boat landings)
  • Weather and lightening monitoring
  • Assist in tool box talks and safety meetings
  • Assist in the investigation of marine based incidents
  • Monitoring of drills on CTV and hotel vessel
  • First point of contact for emergency response and marine assistance; Coordinating emergency response
  • Coordinate permits to work
  • Compile and provide daily reports including daily progress to site management
  • Compile and provide monthly reports to project management
