FINANCE ASSISTANT

 

We are looking to recruit a Permanent Full Time Finance Assistant to provide accounting assistance and general financial support to the Finance Manager. Duties and responsibilities are detailed below:

• Project Profitability Reporting – Produce variance analysis actual vs. budget for each live CTR, to involve liaison with individual CTR Managers and production of a Budget vs. Actual report for review with Finance Manager. Production of project costing reports as required.

• Timesheet Reporting – Work closely with the Timesheet Administrator to ensure integrity of the system; provide relevant financial information as required, to include billing and resource utilisation information on a weekly/monthly basis.

• Sales Information – Ensure all time entered has gained final sign off from CTR Managers and provide month end sales information to the Finance Manager

• Purchase Ledger – Inputting of creditors invoices, petty cash, credit card and staff expenses, preparation of fortnightly payment runs and maintenance of the purchase order system. Perform monthly aged creditors’ reconciliation

• VAT Returns – Complete VAT Returns for companies of the SeaRoc Group and input VAT journals onto Sage Line 50

• Fixed Asset Register - Maintain the SeaRoc Fixed Asset Register in liaison with IT/Office Management

• Maintain SeaRoc Fixed Asset/Depreciation schedule

• Assist in month end Balance Sheet reconciliations

• Assist in the preparation of annual/quarterly budgets

• Ensure the Financial Management shared drive adheres to company document procedures; timely review of files

• Document finance procedures; update department procedures file as and when necessary

• Assist with year-end audit preparation

• Credit Control – Share responsibility with Finance Manager; ensure good client relationships are maintained and prepare weekly Aged Debtors report with comments

MARINE ENGINEERS/PROJECT MANAGERS (On/Offshore)

Due to our progression in the industry, we are now seeking a number of qualified Engineers (Marine, Civil and Mechanical) to form a new team mainly responsible for our offshore installation projects. Offshore experience is essential with renewable energy sector experience a possible advantage. The posts will include responsibility for the development of engineering projects from conceptual studies through to execution.  We are seeking skilled engineers with the ability to deal effectively be it through your experience or transferable skills in the following areas:

  • Development of clients engineering projects and various requirements to ensure all criteria are achieved. 

  • Design reviews

  • Design risk assessment

  • Project coordination

  • Marine Installation project executions plans

  • Marine Installation management

  • Offshore Construction project management

  • Management of project budgets and cost control

  • Possible supervision of Engineering Teams

You will need to be comfortable in working autonomously, making key decisions on a day-to-day basis and be prepared and confident to take a project from start to finish. Essential criteria includes; a satisfactory engineering qualification, potentially Degree or equivalent level (we will consider candidates educated to HNC/HND level).

Offshore work is a requirement of this role; so a willingness to travel offshore to support projects is essential. Essential attributes are excellent oral and written communication, integrity, strong organisational skills, the ability to multi-task - a self-starter with good communication skills. Previous experience in a project engineering role is essential as is computer literacy, in particular Microsoft Office.

Positions vary from 6 month fixed term contracts to permanent positions depending on individuals and specific business requirements. Applications will also be considered from self-employed individuals looking to work on a contract basis.
